Course details
Downpatrick has a long racing pedigree going back to 1685, and races have been held at the precise spot of the present course for the last 200 years. Rain or shine Downpatrick draws large crowds and is seen as one of the most beautiful tracks in Northern Ireland, just moments from the heritage town of the same name. Two legendary Grand National Winners have raced at Downpatrick, Rhyme and Reason in ‘88 and Caughoo back in 1947.
